WOMEN PRINTMAKERS features eleven striking, primarily mid-20th-century works on paper created by six accomplished women artists. Among them, only Gene Kloss (American, 1903-1996) is “known.” Etchings, aquatints, linoleum block prints, nail cut block prints, and a graphite drawing are included. The rationale is quality, not quantity—some of the best works in MoA’s collection are featured. This includes a linoleum block print by a young girl.  All but two pieces are landscapes, and each of these is extraordinary in vision and execution.
