I’ve been bringing handmade utilitarian objects home from Greece for many years. The idea to create notecards that represent these objects stemmed from a desire to make the intricate designs available to a wider audience. In addition to patterns incised in wooden distaffs and bread stamps, this collection includes several classic motifs embossed on thin metal votives called “tamata.”
