The animals in the zoo collection originally marched across a textile my mother designed from animals made by kids in an art class she taught in the 1950s. She silk-screen printed the figures in red ink on undyed muslin. The two-layer Rubylith film I cut for the notecards is very similar to the film my mother cut and adhered to her silk screens.
