Description
Thordis Niela Simonsen’s rubylith graphic interpretation of her tempera painting #153 that reflects an intimate knowledge of the olive tree—a result of years of both harvesting the fruit and pruning the trees. The painting appears in Thordis’ book Dances in Two Worlds: A Writer-Artist’s Backstory. Stories about her Greek village life are included in her book Dancing Girl: Themes and Improvisations in a Greek Village Setting.
