Description
I created the original monotype print #165 on 15 November 2010. The piece is as varied in technique as it is rich in imagination. I began by applying a thin layer of relatively clear tacky substance to the surface of the entire plate with a brayer [roller]. Then I drew on the plate with oil pastel sticks. Finally, I laid down swaths of ink with brayers, moved oil around with mounting-board tabs, and added more detail with a brush—not necessarily in that order.
This print is a fine companion to #166.
